Push for Change

On August 3rd members of the Coverdale Centre for Women participated in "The Push for Change Chalk Walk & Talk".

In 1989 Joe Roberts was was living under a bridge as a homeless skid row addict. Today he is an author and CEO who is pushing a shopping cart across Canada in an effort to raise awareness and funds to end youth homelessness.

The event started with a picnic in King Square and a Chalk Drawing Competition. Afterwards everyone was invited to walk with Joe and be a part of the experience.

The walk ended at the Imperial Theatre where everyone was invited inside to hear joe speak about and celebrate local efforts to end youth homelessness in our community.
